HOW OUR RESIDENTIAL DESIGN & BUILD SERVICES WORK.
WORKING ON THE VISION
Every project process starts with the customer’s vision. You’ll meet with our design team and builders to discuss your wants and needs for your dream home or renovations. Over 6-10 months – and many more meetings – our architects start by creating concepts and sketches from your ideas. During this time, we’ll further develop detailed interior design and architectural house plans, sort out full specifications, and decide on materials. All the while, the project will be costed by our in-house cost-estimator team to ensure it stays within your budget.
BUILDING THE HOME
Once you’ve approved of your house plan, we’ll move into construction. Each build is managed by our project managers, ensuring that everything moves along smoothly and efficiently. Our projects take 7-12 months to complete, depending on factors such as size, style, and site. Throughout the construction process, our clients often meet with our architects on location to make important decisions and observe the professionals at work. You’ll see your house go from a paper plan to a beautiful masterpiece of design. And if you have any questions along the way, we’ll always be available to assist.

Our residential architects in Auckland evaluate your property for what can be built and use that information to develop a thorough budget report and project concept. You’ll learn how Box works in-depth and avoid expensive pitfalls and mistakes in the future. Plus, we’ll refund the cost if you choose to go with Box for your house build afterwards.

Of course, if you’re looking into architectural home builders, you’ll be curious about the cost. The price of building a home in Auckland can vary based on factors such as land, complexity, style, and size, averaging out to $5,500 – $8,000 per square metre (or $4k – $5 for the house itself only).
