Who would ever want to leave this stunning home that sits surrounded by 10 acres of expansive rural countryside looking towards the Brynderwyn Hills?
It was important to the clients that the house worked both as a home for relaxing and entertaining as well as providing a comfortable and therapeutic space to work from home.
The site is buffeted by different weather conditions throughout the year, so it was important to design a number of external spaces that could be enjoyed for a number of uses. Expansive decking both covered and exposed, provides different orientations to create year-round shelter from the local winds.
Dramatic raked ceilings featuring 10 skylights, resulted in a timber lined space which gives warmth and intimacy to the generous open plan living. Flush rebated joinery in the glass sliding doors provide a seamless transition and connection to the outdoors.
The combination of the client’s interest in architecture and the builder’s attention to exceptional detailing resulted in a stunning and flexible design that blends seamlessly with the landscape.
